Q&A Buddhist Philosophy Of Emptiness
This took place on June 24, 2010, following Khenpo Sodargye's teaching at Peking University, exploring Mahayana study paths, core Madhyamaka philosophy, modern versus monastic education, self-benefit and benefiting others, and Prajnaparamita essentials. Khenpo addressed systematic study of Madhyamaka and Buddha nature texts, the philosophical question of Madhyamaka's ultimate position, differences between altruistic Buddhist education and secular knowledge training, the Diamond Sutra's enlightenment key, the Heart Sutra's non-duality of form and emptiness, and cloning technology in relation to karma. He emphasized that ultimate realization transcends all grasping, altruistic education and scientific knowledge should complement each other, and transmitting Buddhist wisdom represents life's most meaningful endeavor.
