Zen to Rescue Emotions
This is a lecture by Khenpo Sodargye at Suzhou University of Science and Technology on December 26, 2012, on the theme of "Zen to Emotional Rescue." Core argument: modern people's stress originates from inner desires rather than external circumstances, and meditation is the best method for stress reduction and emotional rescue. The Vairocana sevenfold posture forms a pyramid shape that can gather cosmic energy; scientific experiments prove that meditation can enhance immunity, improve brain function, and strengthen concentration. True meditation is observing the mind with the mind anytime and anywhere, recognizing the nature of mind, which does not interfere with work but rather makes life more meaningful. Khenpo emphasizes: understanding the nature of mind is the ultimate emotional rescue, and "all phenomena are created by the mind alone." Educators should provide students with spiritual guidance, enabling them to be mentally healthy and possess altruistic ideals—this is the most profound and long-lasting help.
