Making Tibetan Buddhism Modern in China

University Lecture
Max Planck Institute

The teaching begins with an academic conference in Göttingen, discussing the spread of Tibetan Buddhism in modern China. It emphasizes four major characteristics of Tibetan Buddhism: 1) Teaching methods adapted to modern psychology, skillfully utilizing internet and other communication tools; 2) Ability to resolve modern people's spiritual confusion by providing rapid and effective mind-training instructions; 3) Using wisdom to discern truth rather than blind faith, seeking truth through debate; 4) Returning to the depths of the heart as a profound and extensive inner science system. It emphasizes that ancient civilization and modern technology should integrate with each other, and Eastern and Western cultures need continuous exchange to create a beautiful future together.
